KING OF THE LILY POND
Mum is so excited to be back in the land of plump, bright, green frogs.
Of the Amphibian variety.
I’m sure she’s met many frogs of a different species during her life but that’s another story.
She named him Kermie. My first reaction was could you have shown less imagination? but I get the feeling this is the only frog she has personalised with a name.
For the first time in her life, Mum is taking time out to smell the roses … not to mention trees, shrubs, weeds, rocks, sand, ocean breezes, mountain air… and, quite possibly, the occasional frog.
I think she’s making up for lost time.
Mum is discovering there’s more to life than running around at a million miles an hour and that’s good for all of us … Kermie included.
But I’m going to call him Leonardo.
It has a nice ring to it. Lily’s friend, Leonardo.
If you want to have authority in the pond you need a name that is powerful, one that commands respect.
With a name like Leonardo, he’ll put all the other little ribbiters in their place. You can picture them abuzz with excitement at the thought of meeting Leeeonaaardo.
He’ll be Top Frog in no time.
