Head Down … Tail Up

by lily on July 7, 2012

I KNOW EXACTLY HOW YOU FEEL

That’s me.  Head down … Tail up.  I feel as if I’ve barely come up for air I’ve been so busy.

Sorry, Blog, I’ve neglected you for too long.  I’ve even had people emailing asking if I was still alive!  I promise I won’t disappear for such a long time ever again *kisses screen while typing* … unless I win Lotto and buy a farmhouse in Tuscany.  But, the odds of that happening are a gazillion to one against.

Talk about all work and no play makes Lily a … well, I don’t know what but I sure haven’t had a lot of fun lately.  Work, work, work, eat, sleep, work, work, work and more work.

But what an exciting time I’ve had.

Mum has added a range of Kindle, iPad and Lap Top covers to her soft furnishing designs and, here’s the biggie, I’ve launched a range of cat-themed soft furnishings.  True.  Of. My. Own.  I’m chuffed beyond belief.  They’re just adorable and I love ‘em to bits.

Plus, I’ve written a number of fictional short stories that will be published next year and some extra special ones to share here.

I haven’t had a moment to scratch myself.  I’ve totally forgotten what it’s like to spend a lazy morning relaxing on my sun lounger.  A couple of times my head was fizzing like a sherbet and I couldn’t remember which project I was working on.  I found myself typing on a length of fabric.  Just as well I didn’t take to the laptop with the circular cutter.

Apart from selling my accessories through specially chosen retail outlets, a shopping page will be set up here for the launch of … Da Da …

I’ll tell you as soon.

As they say, if you want a job done give it to a busy, umm, cat.  At this rate I’ll get a tap on the shoulder suggesting I run for Prime Minister.

Ooh, now there’s a thought.  I suppose if I juggle a few things it might just work.  Let’s see, if I only slept an hour a night I could …

“What was that, Mum?” I asked, noting her eyes-up-to-heaven-here-we-go-again look.

“Well, I wouldn’t agree that I’m a total dingbat but you’re entitled to your opinion.”

Mustn’t dilly dally.  I’ve got work to do.

Hello Chey … it’s been ages. Thanks for your thoughts. Yes, things are settling down at long last and we can relax a little. I miss my sun lounger, especially Sunday mornings!
